1.1 By using the Piece website, mobile application, and related services (together, Piece), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Piece is operated by David Alia (ABN 39 122 762 595) (we, us, or our). We are established only in Australia (see contact details below). You can find Piece in the Apple App Store and Google Play under the name Piece (bundle identifier com.loveetc.app). Our Privacy Policy is published alongside these Terms wherever we make them available.
1.2 Australia-focused marketing (for now). We currently advertise and promote Piece only in Australia. People outside Australia may still download or use the App. If you use Piece from another country, local laws may still apply to you and to us where they are mandatory and cannot be waived by these Terms.
2.1 Piece is designed to help people in a relationship reflect on a disagreement by describing each person's perspective (including, where available, by voice recording converted to text) and receiving general, AI-generated commentary (for example, strengths, weaknesses, and an informal "verdict" depending on settings you choose). Information provided by Piece is general in nature and should not be considered definitive, comprehensive, or a substitute for professional advice (including legal, financial, medical, psychological, or counselling advice).
2.2 You agree to use Piece only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

3.3 If you enter another person's name, details, or side of a story, you warrant that you have that person's informed consent to include their information and to have it processed by us and our service providers (including AI providers) as described in our Privacy Policy.
4.1 We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy and data protection laws in the places where we operate and where you use Piece.
4.2 You acknowledge that describing a relationship disagreement may involve sensitive or personal information. You choose what to submit; you should avoid including unnecessary sensitive details where possible.
5.1 Piece provides information of a general nature only. You should not rely on AI-generated output as the basis for important personal, legal, health, or relationship decisions.
5.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations, and guarantees relating to Piece (including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose), except any that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law or other mandatory rules (including, for Australian consumers, the Australian Consumer Law).
5.3 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage that may arise from your use of Piece, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
6.1 We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of Piece after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms, except where prohibited by applicable law.
7.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the commonwealth laws of Australia that apply in New South Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country or region of residence.
7.2 In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith discussion or mediation.
7.3 To the extent permitted by applicable law, you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia. If mandatory law requires disputes to be heard only in another place, that law prevails.
By using Piece, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
